How can I set up an active directory in Azure?
Create an Azure AD directory and register myschool as an application to get the Client ID and key needed for SSO.
This is the first step in setting up Microsoft Azure AD Single Sign-On. Open the Microsoft Azure management portal and follow the steps below.
Tip: Microsoft updates the Azure portal from time to time, so menu names may differ slightly from the screenshots. Look for the equivalent options for creating a directory and registering an application.
1. Sign in
Sign in to the Azure portal with your Microsoft account credentials.
2. Create a directory
- Click New → App Services → Active Directory → Directory → Custom Create.

Note: The App ID URI must be unique.

4. Configure the application
- On the Configure tab of the myschool application, generate a key by selecting its validity period.
Note: Copy the key value and store it safely. You can’t retrieve it after you leave the page, and you need it to connect Azure with myschool.

https://<your-school-domain>/azure/azure_ad_authenticate
Note: If you are setting up single sign-on for more than one school, enter each school’s reply URL on a new line in the same format.
