Account split in online payment

Route online fee payments to different bank accounts when your payment gateway supports split settlement.

1 min read Last updated: 30 September 2026

When fees are paid online, myschool can send the money to multiple bank accounts. This helps institutions that hold more than one bank account route each payment directly to the right account.

Note: Account split works only if your payment gateway supports split settlement (sub-accounts). Check with your payment gateway provider.

Steps

  1. Direct each fee to the correct account. Set up fee accounts and link them to your fee categories — see How to create fee accounts.
  2. Add your payment gateway. Add and configure your custom payment gateway — see How to configure a custom payment gateway.
  3. Enable account-wise split in the gateway settings.
  4. Enter the account parameter — the parameter name your gateway uses to identify the receiving sub-account (for example, account or product_id).
1Enabling account split and entering the account parameter
  1. Go to Menu → Administration → Online Payment → Custom Gateways.
2Navigating to Custom Gateways
  1. Add the account parameter value against each fee collection (for example, Account 1, Account 2). You get these values from your payment gateway provider.
3Assigning account values to fee collections
