Do's and don'ts for using myschool successfully
Key practices to follow and mistakes to avoid when rolling out and using myschool in your institution.
Do’s
- Implement myschool in your institution only after you understand how the application works.
- Make sure your institution has an administrator who knows the application thoroughly.
- Have the administrator train the other users who will work on the platform.
- Have users practise hands-on in a test environment before they start using the live system.
- Always enter data through the application only. Never inject data directly into the database.
- Review the user guides and help articles before implementation.
Don’ts
- Never edit data directly in the database. Always enter and change data through the application.
- Never enter dummy or invalid data in your live (production) system. Do all testing in a test environment.
Note: If you need a test environment, contact the myschool support team.
