Who can mark student attendance: any teacher, or only the one who took the class?
Who can mark student attendance depends on whether your institution uses day-wise or subject-wise attendance.
Who can mark student attendance depends on the attendance type your institution uses:

| Who | Can mark attendance when… |
|---|---|
| Admin | Always, whatever the attendance type. |
| Batch tutor (group tutor) | Attendance is day-wise: the batch tutor of the batch can mark it. |
| Subject teacher | Attendance is subject-wise: the teacher of that subject can mark it for their subject. |
| Any other employee | Only if they have been given the Student Attendance Register privilege. |
