About Messages
How internal messaging works in myschool and which users each role can send messages to.
Messages is the internal messaging feature of myschool. Administrators, employees, students and parents can send and receive private, secure messages to other myschool users, depending on their role.
Messages also work as a notification system: myschool automatically sends a message to users who are part of, or involved in, certain events.
Who can send messages to whom?
| User | Can send messages to |
|---|---|
| Administrator | All myschool users. |
| Employee – teacher/tutor | All employees, all students, and only the parents of the students they teach. |
| Employee – staff (not a teacher or tutor) | All employees and all students. |
| Student | Teachers/tutors of their own batch, students of their own batch, and their own guardian only. |
| Parent | Only the teachers/tutors who teach their children, and their own children. |
