Use the Gate Management module in the mobile app
Record user entries, issue and approve gate passes, and manage visitors from the myschool mobile app.
The core Gate Management functions — creating records, generating passes and approving passes — are handled in the mobile app. The module offers a simple way to record and monitor user entries and visitor information.
Three user privileges are associated with this module, each managing different actions:
- Gate Keeper
- Gate Pass Issuer
- Visitor Entry Approver
The module has three main options:
- User Entry Management
- Gate Pass Management
- Visitor Management
1. User Entry Management
The gate keeper records the details of users as they enter the institution’s premises, in a few easy steps from the mobile app. If the user belongs to the institution and has an ID card with a barcode, the barcode can be scanned to fetch their basic information.

A gate pass allows students and employees to leave the institution with the appropriate approval. The user’s basic details are recorded along with who gave permission, the reason, and so on. When a gate pass is issued, a notification/SMS is sent. Before the user leaves, the gate keeper updates the exit and entry of the pass holder.

A visitor can be someone from outside or the guardian of a student at the institution. The visitor’s basic details are captured in the visitor entry form along with the type (Guardian or Visitor). The gate keeper records the visitor entry, and a request notification is sent to the person being visited, who can approve or deny it. Based on their response, the gate keeper allows or refuses the visitor’s entry.
