Applicant registration settings

The four steps to prepare applicant registration — active years and courses, course settings, Magic PINs and notifications.

1 min read Last updated: 30 September 2026

Before the applicant registration process can start, the admin or a privileged user needs to configure the registration settings in the following order.

Step 1: Add active years and courses

Activate the new academic year you are opening admissions for, and choose its courses. See How to configure active years and courses.

Step 2: Configure the registration course settings

For the selected academic year you can:

  1. Apply settings generally (to all courses) or per course.
  2. Write a welcome message, a description, or instructions on how to fill in the application form. These are shown to applicants when they open the application form link.
  3. Customise the application form as needed.
  4. Create application statuses such as Pending, Allotted and Rejected.

See How to configure registration course settings.

Step 3: Configure Magic PINs (optional)

Manage Pins lets you create unique PIN numbers to issue to students for registration. Each student receives a unique code to register for a course online. The purpose of a PIN is to confirm that the student has paid to obtain it before registering. If registration is free, you don’t need this feature.

See How to configure the Magic PINs.

Step 4: Configure notifications (optional)

The admin can set up notifications for the registration module — for example, an alert for each new application or a daily digest. See How to enable notifications in applicant registration.
