1 min read Last updated: 5 November 2026

The Audit service in myschool records every action taken by the system’s users, including staff, teachers and parents, with the user’s name, the time to the minute and details of what changed. The school principal or an authorised staff member can review these records at any time.

Opening Audit

Go to Menu → Data and Reports → Audit. The service has three pages:

History page

Filter the records by module, activity, user name and time period. Each change is shown with its old and new value, who made it and when.

Users page

Shows how many times each account has visited, its recent activities and when it was last active. Select a user to see everything they did, in order.

Activities page

Shows how often each activity was used in each module of the system, for today, this week, this month or a custom date.

When to use Audit

  • Find out who edited a student’s details, such as their section or a parent’s phone number.
  • Check who archived a student, and when.
  • Review any change to fees or grades.
  • Spot logins outside working hours.
  • Follow a staff member’s work on a given day.
  • See which modules teachers and parents use most.
