How to use statuses in applicant registration
Track each application through your admission process — update its status, mark fees paid, allocate, discard, edit or download it.
An application may pass through several stages before it is allotted or discarded, depending on your institution’s process. The admin can add statuses to track each application through its lifecycle, and filter each class’s applicants by status. See What are application statuses and how do I set them up?.
Steps
-
When an applicant or the admin submits a new application, it starts in the Pending status.
- From here, the admin can move the application to any custom status you created — for example, Entrance Test Conducted, Interview Conducted or On Hold — and use it as a filter.
- The admin can also mark the application fee as paid and give the applicant a receipt.
-
In the Pending tab, click the applicant’s name to open the application.

Choose what to do with the application:
- Update status — change the application’s status. You can also mark the application fee as paid and give the applicant an offline receipt.
- Allocate applicant — after admission is confirmed, allocate the applicant to a batch. See How to allocate a student to a batch via applicant registration.
- Discard — if the application is rejected, move it to the Discarded status.
- Edit application — edit the application if needed.
- Download PDF — download the application as a PDF.

Once applications move to different statuses, you can find them in the matching status tab.
