  2. In the top-right corner, click your account name to open the account panel.

  5. Click Create an SMS Package. Enter the package details and the parameter mapping details described below.

SMS package details

FieldDescription
Package NameThe name of the SMS package.
Service ProviderThe name of the SMS service provider (for example, myschool SMS).
Message LimitThe total number of messages that can be sent. If left blank, the package is treated as Unlimited.
Valid TillThe package validity date. After this date, messages cannot be sent. If left blank, the package has Lifetime validity.
Character LimitThe number of characters that make up one message. If left blank, 160 characters is used. Some providers add a few characters of their own to each message; in that case, reduce the limit accordingly.
  1. Enter the parameter mapping details supplied by the service provider. The sender name is the name recipients see when they receive a message. If you enter a sender name and enable Sender name modification, the sender name can be changed when the package is assigned to a school. If you disable it, the sender name cannot be changed.
  2. When all details are entered, click Create.

Next step: Assign the SMS package to a school.
