How can I change the password of a user?

Administrators, and employees with the Manage Users privilege, can reset a user’s password when the user has forgotten it and cannot reset it themselves.

1. At the top of your dashboard, click the module access icon and go to Menu → Administration → User to open the Manage Users page.

2. Search for the user. See How can I search and view a user profile?

3. Click the user’s name. Their basic profile details are shown.

4. Click Change password.

   

5. Enter the new password in the first field.

6. Enter the same password again in the confirmation field.

   

7. Click Submit to save the new password.
